520 3 _aThis geographic information system allows users to create, edit and perform queries on particular spatial and tabular data of UP Mindanao. These data include buildings, electronic posts, meter members, roads, land cover and accessibility within UP Mindanao boundary and the location of UP Mindanao with reference to the Region XI map. The spatial data are vector data whose coordinates were taken from Global Positioning System (GPS) readings from the Technical Description of the Land Title in Database Access, while spatial data are stored as shape files considered as themes. Adding, editing and querying of spatial data can be made in the customized ArcView 3.1. Finding and analyzing of tabular data can also be made here since it has an extension of Database Access. Adding, editing, and querying of tabular data are done in the Geo-Map of UP in Mindanao (GeoMUPMin), a system developed in MS Visual Basic. In order to avoid frequent switching from one program to the other, the GeoMUPMin can view the spatial data and is also capable of performing some queries. This is helpful to those who are not familiar with ArcView 3.1. however, this system is nor capable of adding a new theme. It can also read those themes available at design time and its corresponding modifications. Through this system, the UP Management can have an objective view of the resources in the campus. They can keep track of the change and development of the university thereby aiding them in planning and decision-making
