The leaf base was found to be a potential leaf explant for in vitro micropropagation of V. sanderiana. Roots and shoots were formed when inoculated in the control set-up but was assumed to have been a response to wounding. Concentration of cytokinin higher than 1 mg/l is required for the formation of well-developed shoots. Higher concentration of auxin relative to cytokinin led to simultaneous callus and root formation | ||
