TI - A brighter light for TORCH Solutions: a strategic plan paper for talent outsourcing channel solutions / PY - 2024/// KW - Strategic Planning KW - M241 N1 - Thesis N2 - Talent Outsourcing Channel Solutions is a registered local agency engaged in sourcing and placement activities supporting BPO companies nationwide. Understanding the dynamic hiring requirements of the industry and acknowledging the pressure of these companies to hire qualified talents within a limited time-frame, Talent Outsourcing Channel Solutions is committed to successfully place only qualified candidates. Operating for seven (7) years, TORCH Solutions have surpassed different challenges and was able to remain resilient and continued operating during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. However, relative to the shift in demand of the foreign economy, hiring demands in the BPO industry has also changed drastically which also contributed to the fluctuation within the sales trend of the organization beginning the business year, 2020. Meeting their monthly goal of successful hires have been the continuous struggle of the organization since frequent adjustments are made to adapt with the constant change in the hiring requirements. Additionally, the preference of the labor market has also shifted from their willingness to work onsite to desiring to have a work from home arrangement. The constant development in the IT-BPO sector also signals continuous development in the BPO industry and has given more hiring opportunities for TORCH Solutions which is evident on the recorded 64% increase in the hiring demand of their existing BPO partners in the business year 2021 to the business year 2022 and a 12% increase in the business year 2023. Furthermore, TORCH Solutions was also able to expand its hiring services to sourcing and placing applicants not only for the entry level position but also for the non-entry positions to which they refer as Executive Campaign. The campaign started with sourcing and placing Virtual Assistant candidates and has continuously expanded to sourcing operations support in the BPO industry such as team leaders, operations manager, and sales manager. Additionally, this new service line has significantly contributed a 2% increase in the net income of the organization during the first quarter (Q1) of 2023. Hiring opportunities has been increasing for TORCH Solutions but these opportunities have not been taken advantage of because the organization find it difficult to adjust in these changes. Hence, the difficulty in maintain its monthly hire goal. Taking this into consideration, this strategic plan paper is drafted to help the subject entity to become more competitive in their industry. This strategic plan paper will be adapting and following the strategic planning framework by David (2016) and integrated within the framework is the expanded Michaels Porter Five Forces framework of Brujil (2018) used for the external environment scanning and the strategic realignment framework by Hba, Rachid & Manouar, Abdellah (2018) used for the internal scanning. The external and internal audit of the organization revealed that although the current strategies of the organization is working and has allowed them to respond to its opportunities and strengths but the organization is still internally weak since strategies has not been implemented well which is highly reflected on the monthly output of the organization. And considering this, the chosen strategy of the strategic plan paper is to intensify its current business processes by re-evaluating its current strategies. Included in the intensification of the business process is the re-distribution of monthly hire goal based on the contribution margin of the organization. Doing so would allow the organization to earn at least P1,265,930.90 monthly. However adjustments in the four functional areas of the organization should also be done to support this strategy, including the redistribution of tasks of the management team, hiring of additional manpower during the third (3rd) quarter and the fourth (4th) quarter of the year, where hiring demand is expected to increase based on historical data, expansion of client databased and lastly expansion of lead generation channels. With all of these strategies in place a constant increase of at least 40% in the gross sales of the organization is expected. This strategic plan paper drafted to be implemented beginning the third (3rd) quarter of the business year 2024 until the fourth (4th) quarter of the business year 2028. ER -
