Thesis (BS Computer Science) -- University of the Philippines Mindanao, 2006
This project developed a website called the Integrated Regional Information System (IRIS): Health Sector that enables remote data submission, facilitating data storage and accession at any place and time as long as an internet connection is available for the Center for Health Development (CHD) Region XI as gathered by the regional health office consist of reports of the Department of Health?s (DOH) health programs from various barangays in Region XI as gathered by their appointed municipal health representatives. The internet is used as the main avenue for the transfer of these data which are gathered on a monthly basis. Registered users like the administrator and the representatives can log in and perform additions and necessary changes into the system while guests could browse and navigate to access summaries of reports and status. The implementation of this system therefore enables data transfer and report submission even in the most remote areas of the region like the barangays located farthest from the city, and accessibility to the health status of the region
