The primary objective of this study was to analyze palay production in Southern Mindanao in the supply-side from 1980-2002. Factors included on the analysis of palay supply were farm gate price, previous year's palay farm gate price, market wage , fertilizer price, and irrigation. Considering the simultaneity problem that exists between tha quantity supplied and price, the study also analyzed simultaneously tha palay farm gate price through the factors: quantity supplied, market wage and NFA palay procurements. Secondary data were gathered from government offices and analyzed using the Shazam software. Results showed that among production factors, only irrigation had statistically significant influence on palay quantity supplied. Palay quantity supplied and market wage had statistically significant influence on farm gate price. The results also revealed that farmers in the region were not price responsive.
