It allowed the student to observe the different operations conducted in the plant. In the Quality Assurance laboratory, chemical and organoleptic analyses were done both on the in-process and cutout evaluation of the emulsions and finished products. On the other hand, in the Research and Development Department, the student was able to assist and perform chemical analyses in various experiments. Problems she encountered for the duration of the practicum in the plant were determined and suggested solutions to these problems were given.
