Prone to this hazard are the ones in the lowland communities near watersheds. This study aims to provide a flood-resilient design given the flooding conditions in the area at the same time considering the financial capacity of the community by providing cost-effective solutions. This study focuses on two main approaches, quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative approach measures the risk of the hazard in the area and vulnerability of the affected populace. This assesses the existing conditions based on hazard rating, capacity countermeasures rating, exposure rating and basic vulnerability rating. Comparative material costing is also involved in this approach in order to assess cost-effectiveness of this study. Qualitative approach discusses the architectural conditions in the area, wherein it scopes the material assessments, each housing type conditions and issues. The result of this study will provide house design guidelines that have flood-resiliency and cost-effectiveness concepts for a lowland community in CompostelaValley Province.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Copy number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
