Prostituted women are engaged in a wide range of sexual activities including unprotected sex. In coordination with Talikala Inc., I was able to interview 100 prostituted women who transact sex in exchange for currency; the majority of which were members of Talikala. Binary logistic regression and tobit regression were used to identify the factors that affect the prostituted women's decision to engage and in setting premium price for unprotected sex, respectively. The probability that a prostituted woman will engage in unprotected sex is close to 1 and was driven by factors including a prostituted woman's age, educational attainment, physical abuse, and awareness in HIV; total clients per day; and the presence of STI to a client. The premium price for unprotected was estimated to be Php 931.22. The factors that increases the premium price for unprotected sex were the prostituted woman's physical abuse, total clients per day, access to condoms through convenience store purchase, and clientele attribute such as handsome; while the factors that decreases the premium price for unprotected sex were on-street prostituted womwn, acquisition of pink card, household income, household size, medical check-up, mean acceptance of STI risk, and clientele attribute such as neat and from rural area. Future researches should also focus on the demand-size of the sex trade since clients who purchases sex encourages women to engage in risky behaviors and sets premium to compensate the risks.
