An inventory of the beetle diversity on the different forest types of Mt. Haguimitan was conducted to generate first hand information on beetles thriving in the mountain. Beetle collection was done in sites separated by three unbounded different vegetation types (dipterocarp, montane, and pygmy forests) in the month of November and December 2006 and March of 2007. A total of 54 beetle species were catalogued and identified to the following families: Attelabidae, Cantharidae, Carabidae, Cerambycidae, Chrysomelidae, Cicindelidae, Cucurlionidae, Dytiscidae, Hydrophilidae, Lampyridae, Scarabidae, Staphylinidae and Tenebrionidae. The may serve as a guide for future bio-ecological studies of coleopterans in the mountain ecosystems. Anthropological disturbances such as excessive rattan farming, frequent local tourist visitations, and mining activities were observed in the vicinity of the sampling sites.
