| Summary, etc. | This study focuses on disseminating information regarding Tuberculosis through a series of radio PSAs. This study was conducted to supplement the existing materials of the Center for health Development davao Region in disseminating information and effectively change the attitude of the target audience specifically the people residing in the urban poor areas in Davao City. Information related materials were gathered from Center for Health Development Davao Region. The researcher interviewed the TB Control Program Manager as an initial research for this study. Statistics and other data are gathered from the websites of Davao City Health Office and Department of Health per advise of the Program Manager. Results of the study show that, it is important to determine the appropriate medium and approach to effectively disseminate the information to the audience. Thus, the researcher came up with a series if interrelated PSAs to give the listeners more chances to grasp the information within the production. A Slice-of-life format was used to make the production more believable and project real-life situations which can be easily understood by the listeners. The Story arc was used to show changes from the character that may effect change from the audience. Radio was used as a medium because it is the most accessible channel for the audience and it is able to reach bigger and wider scope of diverse listeners. In disseminating information, it is important to identify the specific information that needs to be conveyed to the audience and determine the approach to reach one?s audience effectively. |
